This dehumidifier arrived without a scratch due to its well designed packaging. It's quite heavy and to get it out of the box they made it so you just cut the straps and lift the top of the box up. The manual is well written and easy understandable. However there are no specifications included in the manual stating its minimum/maximum capabilities, that it has a filter that should be cleaned once in a while or to run the included hose or garden hose to a drain (although obvious). There is a sticker on the side of the unit that has some helpful info. More detailed information can be found on their website on the unit. Take note: Manual states it should NOT be plugged in for 24 hrs after unboxing. Also not to place it in a room with ignition sources,(open flames, gas appliance or electric heater). The unit looks quality built. Nice finish with a sturdy handle and wheels that make it very easy to move even with its heavy weight. The controls are easy to understand. The display is big and bright. It is fairly quiet. The amount of moisture it can remove in a short time is amazing. My wood shop is in my basement and I store a large amount of wood there. It is critical that the humidity is kept stable for the wood to be workable. When I turned on the display it showed the humidity at 52. My basement is 2,000 + sg. ft. I set it for 45. It took it about 5 minutes to get it down to 48. It has an automatic humidity sensor but the fan stays running unless you turn it off. I'm assuming that is to keep the humidity at a constant. It does have a timer that can be set to run for a specific amount of time. It is a much more powerful unit than I need for the size of my house/shop. However if ever I have a flood, clean the carpets, or paint I can use it for that. It pulls moisture out of the room very quickly.
