Will 2025 Be A Year of Appliance With High-capacity Batteries?

Image your life filled with appliance with high-capacity batteries, instead of fixed devices. Do they change your life and work?

Portable appliances with battery, like mobile phones, laptops, and portable mini-fans are familiar things in our daily life, no to speak of electric vehicles, electric bikes and electric scooters have been heralding a new era of transportation. Then we are wondering: what will happen if we build high-capacity battery into fixed appliances?

In 1892, Thomas Ahearn of Ottawa invented the first electric cooking range, and cooked a full meal with only electricity at a demonstration at the Windsor House Hotel. It literally has converted the realm of home cooking. Later, electric appliance technology has developed and advanced. In the mid-20th century, portable electric appliance and battery-operated devices became more prevalent. Until that time, some specific models with built-in batteries have began to emerge, and with battery technology improved, various manufacturers have been producing more diverse and versatile cooking devices that could operate on battery power. Among those cooking devices, most are portable since they are basically designed for outdoor use.

However, battery-powered induction stoves has emerged into the market in recent years, inspiring us what will happen if we have high-capacity batteries inside other major appliance?

On the one hand, battery-powered appliance can ease the stressed grid. As pursuing sustainable development, all governments and all human beings are converting fossil fuels into green energy, for example electricity. Electricity are brought to homes via the electrical grid, which links power plants to household by vast networks of equipment. Since the increasing homes choosing to use electricity, there is a gap between electricity demand and available supply, which sometimes causes grid stress, or even grid failed. To reduce grid stress, authorities suggest homes and businesses to shift flexible loads outside peak hours, turn off unnecessary devices and avoid major appliance use during some specific time. It is indeed brilliant advice, and now, we have another solution: battery-power appliance. If customers have battery-powered appliances, then they can cook or work during the period of electricity shortage.

On the other hand, battery-powered appliance can be designed as multi-functional products. In an article written by Inna Lobel & Kebei Li, they mentioned a concept for a high-capacity battery TV which is flexible and space-saving. The spatially autonomous appliance also plays a role in distributing home energy as a movable energy station. Whats more, the device is designed to be a interior furniture in the living home, serving as a room divider or something else to decorate houses.

There is plentiful of factors that need to be considered, such as the growing cost of raw materials (especially lithium battery), product safety of built-in battery, and the potential delivery problems. We still need a bit more time to dig out the future of battery-powered appliances. Only feedback from users tells the truth. Yet, as an appliance supplier, Bansa Rose is always pleased to embrace new technology and innovation for were here to help you grow your business and expand your market shares within the fierce market. Wish all of you has a good start in 2025.
